Sound WavesHard
Question
The equation of displacement of two waves are given as y1 = 10 sin (3πt + π/3) and y2 = 5 (sin 3πt + √3 cos3πt), then what is the ratio of their amplitude : -
Options
A.1 : 2
B.2 : 1
C.1 : 1
D.None of these
Solution
y1 = 10sin
; y2 = 5 (sin 3πt + √3 cos 3πt)
= 10
= 10 sin
∴ A1/A2 = 10 / 10 = 1 : 1
= 10
∴ A1/A2 = 10 / 10 = 1 : 1
