Question

Sol.(d) [Key Concept: Evolutionary Trend — Water to Land] Evolution of life shows that life forms had a trend of moving from water to land. Early vertebrates were fishes. Some fishes gradually changed into amphibians (living both on land and in water). Some amphibians then transformed into reptiles that live on land; some evolved into birds (flying) and then into mammals. Life clearly evolved from aquatic to terrestrial environments.
