Question

The number of hydrogen atoms in 0.9 g glucose, C6H12O6, is same as

Options

A.0.48 g hydrazine, N2H4
B.0.17 g ammonia, NH3
C.0.30 g ethane, C2H6
D.0.03 g hydrogen, H2

Solution

Mole of H-atoms in glucose =$\frac{0.9}{180} \times 12$= 0.06

Mole of H-atoms in hydrazine = $\frac{0.48}{32} \times 4$ = 0.06

Mole of H-atoms in ammonia = $\frac{0.17}{17} \times 3$= 0.03

Mole of H-atoms in ethane = $\frac{0.30}{30} \times 6$= 0.06

Mole of H-atoms in hydrogen = $\frac{0.03}{1}$= 0.03
