Question
A coil of copper having 100 turns is placed in a magnetic field (B = 4 × 10-5) perpendicular to its axis. The cross sectional area of the coil is 0.05m2. If it turns through 180o in 0.01 second then the e.m. f. induced in the coil will be;
Options
A.4 V
B.0.04 V
C.0.4 V
D.0.2 V
Solution
Flux passing through the coil,
= 1000 × 4 × 10-5 = 2 × 10-3 Weber
hange in flux when the coil turns by 180o.
= 2 × 10-3 - (-2 × 10-3)
ᐃφ = 4 × 10-3
e.m.f. =
= 0.4V
= 1000 × 4 × 10-5 = 2 × 10-3 Weber
hange in flux when the coil turns by 180o.
= 2 × 10-3 - (-2 × 10-3)
ᐃφ = 4 × 10-3
e.m.f. =
= 0.4VCreate a free account to view solution
