Question
Two concentric conducting thin spherical shells A and B having radii rA and rB (rB > rA) are charged to QA and - QB (|QB|>|QA|). The electrical field along a line, (passing through the centre) is :
Options
A.

B.

C.

D.

Solution
Electric field inside sphere A is zero. Potential inside is uniform. If we move out of the sphere starting from centre, we find potential dropping to -ve value at the surface of B. After that it becomes zero at infinity as we take potential at infinity to be zero.
