Question
A ball is thrown upwards. Its height varies with times as follows :
If the accelertion due to gravity is 7.5 m / s2 then the height h is :

If the accelertion due to gravity is 7.5 m / s2 then the height h is :

Options
A.10m
B.15m
C.20m
D.25m
Solution
Velocity at highest point becomes zero
∴ 0 = u - at
or u = at
= 7.5 × 3.5 = 62.25m/ s
y1 = u × 1 -
× 7.5 × 12
y2 = u × 2 -
× 7.5 × 22
h = y2 - y1 = 15
∴ 0 = u - at
or u = at
= 7.5 × 3.5 = 62.25m/ s
y1 = u × 1 -
× 7.5 × 12y2 = u × 2 -
× 7.5 × 22h = y2 - y1 = 15
