Genes which are present on sex chromosome are called sex linked genes. Male Drosophila contains XY sex chromosome while female contains XX-chromosomes, During gamete formation male produces 50 % male specific gametes female produces only one type of gametes ie, female specific. As male produces two types of gametes in equal proportion. There is an equal opportunity to getting a male or female offspring.
