JEE Advanced 2-Year Study Plan: Complete Month-by-Month Schedule

jee advanced

Two years is enough to crack JEE Advanced if used intelligently. This plan divides the preparation into clear phases across Class 11 and Class 12, ensuring you build the depth that Advanced demands.

Class 11 (Year 1): Foundation Phase

Months 1-3: Build Math fundamentals (Algebra, Trigonometry). Physics: Mechanics. Chemistry: Basic concepts, atomic structure, bonding. Months 4-6: Continue Physics (Thermodynamics, Waves). Chemistry: s/p block, Organic GOC. Math: Coordinate Geometry. Months 7-9: Physics: Electrostatics. Chemistry: Equilibrium, Thermochemistry. Math: Complex Numbers, Permutation. Months 10-12: Class 11 revision + JEE Advanced PYQs from 11th topics.

Class 12 (Year 2): Advanced Phase

Months 1-3: Physics: E&M. Chemistry: d-block, Coordination. Math: Calculus (Differential). Months 4-6: Physics: Optics, Modern Physics. Chemistry: Organic reactions, Electrochemistry. Math: Integral Calculus. Months 7-9: Full syllabus integration + Advanced PYQ solving. Months 10-12: Mock tests + final revision.

Weekly Schedule Template

Monday-Thursday: New topics (3 subjects, 2 hours each). Friday: Chapter tests and review. Saturday: Full-length mock or PYQ paper. Sunday: Weak area targeted practice + rest. This creates 6 hours daily of effective study over 2 years.

Monthly Milestone Tests

End of each month: Take a 3-hour test covering the month's topics. Compare performance to JEE Advanced PYQ difficulty. Adjust next month's plan based on results. Do not proceed to new topics with unresolved conceptual gaps.

Class 12 Board Integration

JEE Advanced preparation naturally covers Boards (it is a superset). Spend 2 weeks before Boards for Board-specific preparation (NCERT revision, answer writing practice). Return to JEE preparation immediately after Boards end.
