Question
The current gain for a transistor working common base amplifier is 0.96 If theemitter current is 7.2 mA, the base current will be:
Options
A.0.42 mA
B.0.49 mA
C.0.29 mA
D.0.35mA
Solution
Here, α = 0.96, Ie = 7.2 mA
= 0.96
Ic = Ie × 0.96 = 7.2 × 0.96 = 6.912 mA
Now,
Ib = Ie - Ic = 7.2 - 6.912 = 0.29 mA
= 0.96Ic = Ie × 0.96 = 7.2 × 0.96 = 6.912 mA
Now,
Ib = Ie - Ic = 7.2 - 6.912 = 0.29 mA
