Question
AB and CD are two large non parallel metallic plates connected to a battery as shown. If σA and σB be charge densities at points A and B respectively then :

Options
A.σA > σB
B.σA < σB
C.σA ≥ σB
D.σA ≤ σB
Solution
The potential in each of the plate remains same.

i.e. VAC = VBD ⇒ EAC × l1 = EBD × l2
⇒ EAC < EBD (as l1 > l2)
∴ σA < σB (since, E α σ)
