Options
A.Parathyroid and adrenal
B.Pancreas and Parathyroid
C.Thymus and testes
D.Adernal and ovary
Solution
In vertebarte body the glands may be classifiend on the basis of presence of absence of ducts ie, in exocine and endocrine glamds. The secretions of exocine glamds are carried by ducts to a particular organ for some metabolic activity, eg, salivary glands, liver. The endocrine glamds have no ducts and their secretions get absorbedinto the immediate surrounding blood circulation to reach the specific organs to initiate a particular metabolic change, eb thyriod, parathyroid, adrenal, thymus. The glands, which have dual functions (ie, secretion of hormonesand some other functions) are called heteroctine glands, eg, pancreas, testes, ovaries.
