(i) Due to earthing
Let total charge on B is q.
VB = 0 ∴
(ii) ∴ All charge q = − Q
appears on inner surface of B due to induction
⇒ Charge on outer surface of B = 0
⇒ Field between A and B due to B = 0
Field between A and B due to A 0
Net field between A and B 0.
