Question

The roof of the cranium of frog is formed by

Options

A.parasphenoid
B.alisphenoid
C.frontoparietal
D.orbitosphenoid

Solution

Dorsal part of the cranium is formed of two large and flat frontoparietal which are articulated together by a mid dorsal sagittal suture together and are collectively called frontoparietal. Endo-frontoparietal consists of a frontal bone (in front) and a parietal bone (behind). But now it has been proved that it is only the frontal bone, the parietals are not present in frog due to the absence of neck.
