X cranial nerve is vagus or pneumogastric nerve which originates from lateral side of medulla oblongata behind IX cranial nerve. It is a mixed nerve, its sensory fibres innervate to receptor present in the wall of viscral ofgans. Whereas its motor fibres innervates to muscles in the wall of visceral organs-like heart, alimentary canal, trachea lungs, kidneys, genital tracts etc.
