ElectroMagnetic InductionHard
Question
In figure a bar magnet is moved along the axis of a copper ring, an anticlockwise (as seen from the side of magnet) current is found to be induced in the ring. Which of the following may be true ?

Options
A.The north pole faces the ring and the magnet moves away from it.
B.The north pole faces the ring and the magnet moves towards it
C.The south pole faces the ring and the magnet moves away from it.
D.The south pole faces the ring and the magnet moves towards it
Solution
Magnetic lines of force comeout of north pole and reach towards the south pole in a magnet. When the north pole faces the ring and the magnet moves towards it the flux in the ring increases and current is induced in the anticlockwise direction in the ring and similarly when south pole faces the ring and the magnet moves away from it.
