Karl von Frisch, in 1940s, carried out many detailed experiments and determined that when a foraging bee returns tothe hive, it performs a waggle dance. The number and pattern of waggle indicate the distance and direction of the food source. Honery is predominantly glucose and fructose (not arabinose). Bees wax is not excretory product. It is secreted by special wax glands to make compartments. Apis indica is a medium sized honeybee.A. dorsata is bigger while A. florea is amaller.
