Cell Cycle and Cell DivisionHard
Question
In cell cycle DNA reolication takes place in
Options
A.G1 - phase
B.G2 - phase
C.mitotic metaphase
D.S-phase
Solution
In S-phase, chromosomes and their DNA replicate / synthesize / duplicate with the hepl of DNA polymerase. Amount of DNA / genes become double. Maximum histone protein is synthesized in S-phase. Number of chromosomes remains as were present in the cell but each chromosome becomes double stranded from singe stranded.
