Rotational MotionHard
Question
In the following figure r1 and r2 are 5 cm and 30 cm respectively. If the moment of inertia of the wheel is 5100 kg-m2 then its angular acceleration will be : -

Options
A.10-4 rad/sec2
B.10-3 rad/sec2
C.10-2 rad/sec2
D.10-1 rad/sec2
Solution
Angular acceleration
τ = (10 + 9) × 0.3 - 12 × 0.05 = 5100 α
∴ α = 10-3 rad/sec2
τ = (10 + 9) × 0.3 - 12 × 0.05 = 5100 α
∴ α = 10-3 rad/sec2
