Options
A.Descending limb of loop of Henle is impermeable to water
B.Distal convoluted tubule is incapable of reabsorbing HCO3
C.Nearey 99 percent of the glomerular filtrate is reabsorbed by the renal tubules
D.Ascending limb of loop of Henle is impermeable to electrolytes
Solution
The plasma fluid that filters out from glomerular capillaries into Bowman’s capusle of nephron is called glomerular filtrate. A comprassion of the volume of the filtrate formed per day (180 L/day) with that of the urine released perdat (1.5 L), suggests that nearly 99% of filtrate has to be reabsorbed by the renal tubules. This process is called reabsorption.
