Question
In Young′s double slit experiment, if monochromatic light is replaced by white light : -
Options
A.all bright fringes become white
B.all bright fringes have colours between violet and red
C.only the central fringes is white, all other fringes are coloured
D.no fringes are observed
Solution
Central fringe is that fringe where the path difference ᐃx = 0, for all wavelengths. So the the central fringes is white followed by the the some coloured fringes and after that there is very much overlapping infringes so equal illumination exists.
