Question
Look at the ray diagram show, what will be the focal length of the 1st and the 2nd lens. if the incident light ray passed without any deviation ?
Options
A.- 5 cm and + 10 cm
B.+ 5cm and + 10 cm
C.- 5 cm and + 5 cm
D.+ 5 cm and + 5 cm
Solution

From figure 1st behave as diverging and 2 nd behave as converging
In 1 st incident ray appear to pass at 5 cm distance point and after refraction it becomes parallel to principle axis i.e the focal length f = - 5 cm and for second f = 5 cm
