Momentum and CollisionHard
Question
You are holding a bottle of sparkling water inside a car moving forward. When the driver applies the brakes :-
Options
A.Bubbles in the middle of the liquid will start to move forward with respect to the bottle.
B.Bubbles will start to move backward with respect to the bottle.
C.Bubbles will stay at the same horizontal location in the water.
D.Depending on the speed of the car, bubbles might move forward or backward.
Solution
Bubble is air trapped between layers of water and that will move due to viscous force, As brakes were applied you along with bottle and water moves towards front side due to some initial velocity but in water velocity decreases with height due to viscosity so bubble start moving backward with respect to bottle.
