What Are Numerical/Integer Type Questions?

In JEE Main, each subject (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics) has two sections. Section A contains 20 multiple-choice questions, while Section B contains 5 numerical/integer type questions. You must attempt any 5 out of the given questions.

Estimate before calculating. Before diving into lengthy calculations, make a rough estimate of the expected answer. If your final answer is wildly different from your estimate, you likely made an error somewhere.
Use approximations wisely. For questions involving complex expressions, use standard approximations (e.g., for small angles, binomial approximation) to simplify calculations and save time.
Verify with dimensional analysis. After solving, check that the dimensions of your answer are correct. This catches formula application errors that pure arithmetic checks miss.
